North Marion Boosters is currently getting bids for a new sound system in the main gym. The current sound system is failing and is inadequate for the gym. The sound is poor and the speakers interfer with basketball and volleyball games because they are placed in the middle of the court. With the low ceilings we have in the gym, any basketball throws that go high or any volleyball volleys that go to high, hit the speakers.
The new system will be design for the accustics of the room with speakers down each sideline and not in the middle of the court. This new system will also require new power amps and wiring in the gym.
