Our wrestling team won two weight classes at district last weekend. We will be sending five wrestlers to the state meet on Thursday. Congratulations to head coach Mike Robinson and assistant coach Ford Stigall for producing so many high place winners at the district meet. The wrestlers going on to state are
Levi Cooper Heavyweight Capital Conference Champion
Cody Randall Capital Conference Champion for 125lb and voted as most valuable wrestler for the lower weight classes
Tyler Wilson 3rd in the 119lb weight class
Paul Cam 3rd in the 160lb weight class
Victor Toran 3rd in the 171lb weight class
The state wrestling meet runs Thursday-Saturday at the Memorial Coliseum in Portland.

2005-2006 Season
Three North Marion Wrestlers qualified for the State Tournament in Salem. Grant Koutny, Levi Cooper and Ivan Cam represented North Marion at the 3a state meet at the fairgrounds in Salem on Feb. 16,17 and 18th. Grant Kootney placed 4th in state at 152 pounds. Levi Cooper placed 6th in state at 275 pounds. Congratulations to these young men on their accomplishments this season.
